Meet the Team

David Marcus is the owner of DSM Construction. He founded DSM in 2009 after earning a degree in environmental design, studying construction, architecture, and city planning. He discovered a passion for remodeling at age 15 while helping a high school teacher with home remodels. In addition to running his company, David can still be found working on job sites, ensuring everything runs smoothly. In his free time he enjoys traveling with his wife Kelsey and spending time with their daughter Margot. He enjoys life on the water and can be caught skiing and wake-boarding at Cedar Creek Lake during the summers.

One of our longest standing employees is our Superintendent and Master Craftsman Steve Mercer. He is a certified lead carpenter and has been with DSM for almost 10 years. Steve has been on the job site since he was 5 years old working alongside his father and has been hands-on with just about every trade in the business. Steve performs all carpentry related tasks, such as framing, trim, cabinetry, and doors. He also provides job site supervision of subcontractors and meets with inspectors. When he is not working he enjoys spending time with his wife Linda and their kids and grand kids. Steve will never turn down a tasty burger.

Jose Perez has been an invaluable member of DSM Construction since 2020. His passion for learning about the various trades involved in home remodeling has made him an indispensable asset to the team. He plays a crucial role in making sure everything meets our high professional standards, and we couldn't do it without him. In his free time he enjoys watching boxing matches and spending time with his wife and son.

Kyle Robertson joined DSM Construction as Project Manager in fall of 2022. Kyle has a degree from Texas A&M University in Forestry and Agricultural Business. Before joining DSM Kyle came from a background in sport field construction. As project manager he enjoys working with homeowners from initial concepts through design and construction. “Seeing a project come together from start to finish is what I love most.” Kyle is passionate about excellent communication and overall client experience. In his free time he enjoys spending time with his wife Maury and their two pugs, Gus and Pepper. Golfing, hunting, fishing, and traveling fill his spare time.

Frankie Elbanna has been on Team David since long before the inception of DSM Construction. As David’s younger sister, Frankie has done various odd jobs for DSM over the years. Today, she proudly serves as our Office Manager, diligently overseeing crucial aspects of the business, including social media management, blogging, and more. Her commitment to excellence and her genuine passion for her work ensure that our business continues to thrive and flourish. In her free time she enjoys spending time with her wife, son, and their two dogs.
